Founder, EAST VILLAGE. and The 51% Club

For over 16 years, Tara has been a force for change in the business world. A multi-award-winning entrepreneur, she founded EAST VILLAGE. with a radical vision to empower women and underserved founders, creating a more level playing field through the power of PR.

She’s also founder of The 51% Club, which brings together female founders to fuel business growth through peer support, expert masterclasses, networking events, direct introductions, and more.

Tara is co-chair of The Lifted Group (Birmingham), a data-driven initiative to increase the flow of capital to female founders in the West Midlands, which came as a direct result of the Rose Review.

Alongside this, Tara is Chair of TechWM’s Women in Tech Special Interest Group, Governance Board member of Ethical Equity, and Investment Mentor for Creative UK’s Create Growth Programme across the UK. Other roles include Soho House ‘Cities Without Houses’ committee and TAG Network Midlands’ Women in Leadership Network.

Tara was also a founder of leading homeless charity Let’s Feed Brum, chairing the board of trustees and helping the charity receive a Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.

Regularly sought-after as a keynote speaker and panellist, Tara ignites conversations on PR and personal branding, female founders scaling and securing investment, and the power of leading with empathy.
